Why is your Rent Payment important?

Your rent is an investment back into our community. Milnbank Housing Association is a non-profit organisation and your rent payments are vital so that we can keep investing in our properties and providing services and benefits to our tenants.  

 There are several ways that you can pay your rent.  

Paying your rent over the festive period

Milnbank HA’s office will close at 12 noon on Tuesday 24th December 2024 and will re-open on Monday 6th January 2025. During this time staff will not be available to take rent payments normally made over the phone or by visiting the office.

If you pay by Direct Debit or you do not pay any rent because you claim benefits, this information is not be relevant to you

Your rent payments must be paid on time, and you can do this in the following ways. 

If you have an Allpay rent card, payments can be made: 

 If you do not have an Allpay rent card, you can make a payment via bank transfer using the details below: 

  • Account Name: Milnbank Housing Association  
  • Sort Code: 80-07-12 
  • Account Number: 00504365
  • Payment Ref: **Tenant’s full name (if this won’t fit, use first name initial and full surname**) 

NOTE: If you are paying by bank transfer it is important that you use the appropriate payment reference i.e. Tenant’s full name or initial of first name and full surname to ensure payments are allocate  to the your rent account. 

Direct Debit

Direct debits can be set up over the phone and will only take a few minutes of your time to set up.

AllPay Website or App

Online at allpayments.net(Debit Cards only) or via the Allpay App available for download on smartphones / tablets.

In Person Payment

You can also make payment in person at our office.

Debit/Credit Card

You can make payment by Debit/Credit Card in our office or over the telephone.

Your AllPay Card

Your Allpay Card can be used at pay points including the Post Office – please contact the office for a payment card.

Difficulties paying your rent?

If you’re having difficulties paying your rent, we are here to help. We understand that there are many reasons why people may find themselves in arrears and that people might find it difficult to face up to financial problems and may not know where to start.  

It’s important you contact our housing team as soon as you know there’s a problem with your rent. 

We can talk to you about: 

  • Paying your rent arrears in instalments 
  • Benefits you might be entitled to but are not currently claiming 
  • Support on welfare rights and money advice services. 

Rents are reviewed every year in line with our Rent Policy and all tenants are invited to take part in this consultation
