DEPUTE HOUSING SERVICES MANAGER (35 HRS PW)
(Salary £36,669-£38,620pa (Point 29-31)


Milnbank Housing Association is a tenant led Community Controlled Housing Association operating in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow, owning and managing approximately 2,800 units.  The Association is looking to recruit a Depute Housing Services Manager, to assist in the delivery of a high quality Housing Management Service on behalf of the Association.

The post holder should have a track record of delivering: a comprehensive Housing Management service; be customer focused, and committed to pursuing excellence in line with the strategic objectives and values; an excellent communicator; and be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills.

The post holder will be qualified to PG Diploma Level in Housing Studies, or relevant equivalent, and also have extensive experience of covering full range of housing management services.

The post holder will have responsibility for assisting in the management; delivery; and development of the Association’s Housing Services function.  The main responsibilities will involve strategic planning; the day to day delivery of a high quality housing management service; leading the Housing Services Team (10 staff), and also deputising in the absence of the Housing Services Manager.

The key duties of the post will include:

Ensuring that all housing services policies and procedures are monitored and reviewed in accordance with the Association’s Annual Schedule of Policy Development and Review.

Input to the annual review of the Housing Services Functional Plan, ensuring that the strategic aims and objectives of the organisation are met.

Compiling monthly reports, attending and/or facilitating Housing Services meetings as required.

Assisting and supporting the Housing Services Team, ensuring that an efficient and effective housing service is delivered to all residents:  maximising rental income; providing a day to day estate management service; promoting tenancy sustainment, and tenant participation.

JOB VACANCY – JOINER
(40 HOURS PER WEEK) FIXED TERM CONTRACT (up to 6 months)
(Pay rate from 01.04.18 £27,884pa)

Milnbank Housing Association is a tenant led Community Controlled Housing Association operating in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow, owning and managing approximately 2,800 units.  The Association is looking to recruit a qualified, and skilled, Joiner on a Fixed Term Contract basis to carry out void and common maintenance works.

Due to the urgency of work we require a Joiner to start immediately, and the main duties of the post will include:

Carrying out all void joinery works over a diverse range of properties e.g. kitchen installs, fitting doors, sheeting floors, servicing windows, replacing skirtings/facings, box-ins, plaster boarding.

Installing fencing in common areas.

Be able to carry out high quality workmanship.

Have a basic knowledge of other trades, with the ability to perform other tasks would also be advantageous.

You will ensure that all works orders issued to you are carried out timeously, and in accordance with the Association’s quality standards.

Compliance with all of the company’s policies and procedures, relating to Health and Safety.

The Association is looking for a dedicated, experienced, hardworking individual, who will contribute, with excellence, to the delivery of a fast, efficient and effective Maintenance Service.  The post holder should have a clean current driving license and, preferably, hold a minimum of 5 years on the job experience.

The hours of work will be 40 hours per week, and will be flexible over Mondays to Saturdays.  The post holder may also be required to work additional hours, to suit the business needs of the Association.

JOB VACANCY – SEMI-SKILLED LABOURER/JOINER
(40 HOURS PER WEEK) FIXED TERM CONTRACT (up to 6 months)

Milnbank Housing Association is a tenant led Community Controlled Housing Association operating in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow, owning and managing approximately 2,800 units.  The Association is looking to recruit a Semi-skilled Labourer/Joiner with all round experience on a Fixed Term Contract basis to carry out void and common maintenance works.

Due to the urgency of work we require a Semi Skilled Labourer/Joiner to start immediately, and the main duties of the post will include:

Basic knowledge of Joinery technique.  Knowledge of other Trades e.g. plumbing, painting would also be advantageous.

Assisting all In-House Trades with all void joinery works over a diverse range of properties e.g. kitchen installs, fitting doors, sheeting floors, servicing windows, replacing skirtings/facings, box-ins, plaster boarding, bathroom installs.

Knowledge and experience in using hand and power tools.

Moving of materials and taking deliveries. 

Responsible for site cleanliness.

Be able to carry out high quality workmanship.

You will ensure that all works orders issued to you are carried out timeously, and in accordance with the Association’s quality standards.

Compliance with all of the company’s policies and procedures, relating to Health and Safety.
